We are Andrew and Tracie Bonica and we have had the privilege of calling these 8 acres in Scholls home for the last 13 years. When we became caretakers of this land we created a barn for our horses and continued using most of the land as a hayfield, as it had been for over a decade. However, as we got to know the land better and became better attuned to observing nature we distinctly felt that something was missing. Or rather, a lot of somethings were missing. We noticed honeybees flying over our field, with no food or habitat offered our field just added to their commute. We noticed birds had almost no where to land and no where to nest, no where to hunt or forage from. We noticed that when we took our dogs for walks in our field we all became bored with the lack of interesting features.

But we noticed some wonderful things as well. We noticed the most gorgeous rainbows, and the more we attuned ourselves to the weather, the more likely we would be to know when and where to look for them. We noticed show stopping sunsets and wondered to ourselves who else in our valley might be enjoying this precise sunset at this moment.

These are moments that are meant to be shared. This is land that is meant to be shared, with nature and with people.

This is our mission. To share the abundance of some of the best soil in the area, to fill this land with native plant species that once nourished a diversity of creatures, both large and small. To allow people to grow the food that will nourish themselves, their community and their souls.

Over the last several years we have been creating the roots for this dream, adding trees and plants and happily observing the greater biodiversity. We have been better managing the soil and feeling how it is getting softer and more lively.

And now, we are ready to continue building! We invite you to lease a garden plot, put down your roots, get your hands dirty, and fulfill your dreams of gathering and growing in a community of like-minded people. People who yearn to share in the wonder of how much better a home grown veggie tastes, people who pause to watch a bee busy in its' own work, people who enjoy the rain while looking for a rainbow, people who gather to watch a sunset.

This is your community. We can't wait to Gather & Grow with you.
